Windkit quickly sneaked out of camp.
"Starrykit, come on! Don't you want to hop on the rocks across the river with all of the other kits from all of the other clans?"
Earlier that moon, all of the kits in the clans had slipped out of camp when no one was watching. They all had agreed to meet again at the full moon, while everybody else went to the gathering. The other cats who stayed at the camp usually fell asleep as soon as everybody left.
Somehow, none of the queens knew that their kits hadn't been in the camp.
Starrykit hesitantly followed Windkit, hoping that this wouldn't end in a disaster. She hoped that she wouldn't get wet.

"Windkit, I'm really not sure about this. I mean," Starrykit worried. "what if the other kits got caught by their mothers? Or bailed out on us? I mean, we're the only kits in WingClan..."

"Well, what would happen if we bailed on them?" Windkit waited for an answer. Starrykit sighed. Windkit was just as stubborn as ever. If something went wrong, she would be sure to blame him. " 'Comon Star, please? It'll be fun! Besides, not all of the kits could have been caught by their mothers! One of our friends is sure to be there!"

The two kits had made it to their meeting spot. Windkit started playing on the rocks while Starrykit paced below. Suddenly, high pitched voices sounded from farther in the forest. It was other kits! "Help! Fox! Help!" Windkit, startled by the cries, slipped and fell into the stream.

Windkit struggled to climb out of the stream. Luckilly, the stream was very shallow, so he quickly jumped out.
"Star, which way's the gathering?"
"To the north."
"Right, we have to tell them that a fox is there! Many kits could die!"
The two kits scurried, as fast as they could, towards the gathering.

Starrykit reached the tree-bridge and helped Windkit over. The kits screamed at the tops of their lungs, "HELP! HELP! THERE'S A FOX!"

Every single cat immediately turned to face them. Panic erupted. Cats all ran across the tree bridge, hoping to destroy the foxes that were harming their kits. The now united clans immediately raced into the forest.

Starrykit licked Windkit's fur the wrong way to warm him up.

Windkit ran after the warriors, with Starrykit alongside him. They reached the clearing to find kits, many of them mewling for help in a Badger den. Some were covered in minor wounds.
Cats, appearing from all sides of the clearing, attacked the five badgers standing in the middle of the field.
The badgers strode forward, scratching and biting cats left and right...
