Owlstar shook his head. "I don't know," he mewed nervously. He curled his tail tightly around his tiny daughter, who let out a squeak. "I really don't know. Just....try not to be ALONE with Burningeagle, at least until I get this straightened out with StarClan."
Snowcloud padded up to Owlstar. "Can I help, maybe? I have some cobwebs for Frostpaw..."

Meanwhile, Jadekit is tending to many wounds, being advised by Bearclaw.
He sees eyes gazing at him through shadows in the trees.
"Good job Jadekit, that is just the right amount of pressure for the cobwebs."
He said distractedly. When he looked into the shadows once more, the eyes were gone.
As Burningeagle passed by, Bearclaw spotted an odd pattern on Burningeagle's pelt.
It seemed to look a lot like a flame and a skull overlapping...

"oooooooooooohhhh! foxxxxxxxxx duuuuuuuuuuung!" Bearclaw thought. A tiny paw prodding him roused him from his fears.
"Bearclaw? I had an idea....if you put the marigold on the wound, and wrap it with cobwebs, then it would trickle into the wound. And if we put a medium sized rock on top of the cobwebs, the pressure will be there while we tend to the other cats, right?"

Bearclaw was proud of her. She was very smart, and would make a wonderful
medicine cat if she wanted to.

Jadekit glowed with pride at Bearclaw's praise. She procceeded to carry out her idea.
Meanwhile, Silverkit and Woodkit crept into Burningeagle's den.
"Why are we doing this again?" Woodkit whispered to his sister.
"SHUSH!" she replied softly. "We're figuring out what Burningeagle is planning. Maybe Owlstar will make us apprentices sooner!"
Thrushclaw, Burningeagle's half-brother stalked into the den. "They suspect. What do we do?" he murmered quietly.
Burningeagle did not look up from his herbs. "I know they suspect me. But, if they drive me out, or I die, they will never know that YOU are the one who helped me, who will eventually kill that troublesome, ggod-for-nothing Owlstar. Just listen closely; I will soon take my leave. YES, I will be back, but in my absence, here is what you will do: When you go on a patrol........"
The kits' eyes widened. "LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" Woodkit whispered. As the kits raced away, Silverkit tripped on the bush. "I'M STUCK!" she whimpered.
A voice sounded from the medicine cat den
"Kits? Would you come here please?"
It was Burningeagle.

Bearclaw walked outside the medicine cat den. He saw
the kits warily enter.
He ran in.
Burningeagle had grabbed Silverkit by the throat and was shaking her violently.
"GET OFF OF HER!" Bearclaw yelled, tackling his mentor,

OOC:// Um, Jadekit isn't there. It would be Woodkit or Silverkit.
BIC:// Thrushclaw had taken Woodkit to the back of the den. "Come here little one! Burningeagle has gone crazy!"
Woodkit whimpered. "Wh-what about MY SISTER???"
Thrushclaw gave the little brown tom a comforting lick. "See? Bearclaw is here. He'll make sure she gets all better," he answered like he was talking to a newborn.
Woodkit drew himself up and replied in that same voice. "I'm going to be an apprentice in three sunrises, and I will make sure that you are NOT my mentor."
Thrushclaw looked taken aback. "What did I do?"
Woodkit growled, "YOU ARE A TRAITOR!" he yowled, attacking the much older cat. "I HEARD YOU PLOTTING WITH BURNINGEAGLE! BURNINGEAGLE'S NOT CRAZY! HE JUST WANTS TO SHUT US UP!"
Thrushclaw's head drooped. "I am sorry you think that of me. But you are still angry because of your sister, right? Eat these," he mewed, pushing some round, bright red berries toward the angry kit. "They'll make you sleep."

Bearclaw looked into the back of the den while fighting with Burningeagle.
"Woodkit! NO! Don't eat those! They'll KILL YOU!"
Woodkit quickly swatted the berries away, and ran out of the den, wailing for help.
"Help! Burningeagle and Thrushclaw are trying to kill Bearclaw, Silverkit and me!"
All the cats quickly looked up and started to run into the den

Owlstar was the first one there. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?"
Snowcloud ran up and vigorously licked her son, who was trembling.
Bearclaw had been knocked unconscious by the blow that Burningeagle had struck while Bearclaw had warned the kit.
Burningeagle had climbed a tall tree, with Silverkit in his jaws.
"STOP! OR SHE PAYS A VISIT TO STARCLAN!"

The cats gasped.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING BURNINGEAGLE!?"
Owlsar yelled.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Bearclaw stirring.
But, suddenly, Owlstar was tackled to the ground.
"Why, we're sending you to StarClan Owlstar."
mewed Thrushclaw as he sat ontop of him.
Thrushclaw move to bite his throat.
Owlstar was ready to lose a life, he closed his eyes and winced for the impact.
It never came.

Woodkit and Jadekit had pounced on the warrior's tail, gnawing it.
Woodkit had cried, "NOT MY FATHER, YOU PIECE OF FOX DUNG!"
Jadekit, who was usually a peaceful cat, had fierce anger in her eyes.

OOC:// what happened was:
Silverkit and Woodkit overheard Burningeagle and his bro, Thrushclaw plotting to kill
Owlstar. They turned to run away, but Silverkit got caught in a bush.
Burningeagle and Thrushclaw proceeded to attempt to kill the two kits, but Bearclaw
came in, and then tackled Burningeagle, only to be knocked out when he was warning
Woodkit not to eat the deathberries Thrushclaw was offering. After escaping, Woodkit got the clan to see, but Burningeagle climbed a tree, holding Silverkit and threatened to
kill her. Then, Thrushclaw tackled Owlstar and was about to rip his throat out when
he was attacked by Jadekit and Woodkit. And that's what happened so far
BIC:// Thrushclaw attempted to throw the kits off him, but to no avail. They held on
for Silverkit's life.
Burningeagle's eyes glowed ferociously.
"I warned you." He happily said, dropping Silverkit.
"Help!" Silverkit cried as she plummeted down to the ground.
Owlstar's mate, Snowcloud, screamed.
"SILVERKIT!"
She ran towards Silverkit, who was about to hit the ground.
Silverkit closed her eyes, ready to join StarClan.
THWOOMP!
"Huh?" Silverkit opened her eyes.
Bearclaw had dived under her and had caught her.

Burningeagle looked upon his Clan with cold fire blazing in his eyes.
Owlstar glared up at the furious medicine cat as Snowcloud helped Bearclaw up. Bearclaw leaned on the Clan leader's mate heavily; bleeding from multiple injuries (caused by his mentor). Silverkit was cowering at her mother's paws.
"Well, Burningeagle?" Owlstar called. "Care to explain?"

Burningeagle gazed at the weak crowd.
Those putrid kits, cowering in fear. HA! They should. For someday, he would rule them all, and kill the resistance.
Starting with Owlstar and that pesky Bearclaw.
Maybe he should kill Jadekit for good measure...
And, if Thrushclaw ever dared to become leader, he'd be out of the picture.
Burningeagle's eyes narrowed evilly. As soon as he was king, they'd all bow down to
him.
Each and every one of them.
